Prince of Thives Foundation

The Prince of Thieves Foundation is the name of the foundation which channels the family funds to charity. The foundation is founded in the memory of Castro’s grandmother, Amni, who was especially protective of the weak in society and defended the education of the poor. A large proportion of the Prince of Thieves Foundation’s funds will be invested towards projects for the bridging the gaps between different cultures and religions. An example of such a project is The Messenger of Peace which can be seen as Castro’s most important charity project. The central project is a film about Islam The Messenger of Peace. Castro also has a vision of a great music project for improved understanding and tolerance between peoples.

Another question which is dear to Castro’s heart is an amplified democratisation of Africa. In order to support this he has established The African Foundation. The fund will support other projects for the improvement of living standards in Africa, in the form of the fight against malaria for example as well as increased levels of education.

The Prince of Thieves Foundation will also award annual distinctions to people who have distinguished themselves, in some way or other, to the aim of world betterment.
